The idea behind NodePlanner
Ask anyone about their trip to a country and you’ll often hear the same highlights. That’s no coincidence—when time is limited, travellers naturally gravitate toward the same worthwhile spots: the places that keep coming up in stories, guides, and recommendations.
Curated locations, not endless lists
NodePlanner brings those places into one overview. We’ve combined visitor interest, travel agencies, popular travel sites, and tools like ChatGPT into a single, hand-picked set of locations so you can skip the research and focus on planning.
Each place has a bucket list score. Five buckets means a must-see—the New Yorks, Amsterdams, and Parises of the world. Lower scores aren’t “skip them”: they’re the standout options when you’re covering long distances and need a good stopover. We included exactly those spots that rise above the rest, even in less touristy areas.
Plan by hopping from node to node
Nodes are the heart of the planner. Pick a location, set your maximum travel time, and you’ll see everywhere you can reach from there—with estimated travel times. Build your itinerary by jumping from one node to the next, without guessing whether a detour is realistic.
Saving and sharing your plan
When your plan is ready:
- Share it — Use the shared link to save the plan on our servers. Anyone with the link can open and view it later.
- Save to Excel — Download your plan as an Excel file. When you want to tweak it again, import that file back into NodePlanner and pick up where you left off.
